“Trace” was born 6/20/2008, and started his UKC show career right away. Due to the fact he could not be shown in the regular UKC Conformation classes, something had to be done at UKC so he could compete in Conformation classes.

At the time ‘Trace” came into our home, UKC did not have ALTERED conformation classes. So when it was known Trace could not participate in regular classes, it was time to approach UKC about introducing ALTERED conformation classes.

As a UKC conformation judge myself, and a judge for ASCA(Australian shepherd Club of America), I informed UKC that ASCA had altered classes and knowing UKC wanted to do something for Altered dogs, I forwarded the information regarding ASCAS Altered classes, and the rest is history! It has been exciting, as Trace excelled in the Altered conformation classes, as well as the Obedience and rally rings.

In his conformation career alone, Trace had earned, 51 Altered Best in Shows, 21 Altered Reserve Best in shows, and 3 Best of the Best in shows.

In Traces obedience career with UKC , he earned, 1 High in Trial, and in Rally, 8 Rally High in trials.

Trace attended the 2016 UKC premiere, taking a Northern Group 1, and qualifying in Rally All stars.

When the UKC publication was still in print Trace made the cover of Bloodlines, as he had taken Best of the Best Altered at a local UKC conformation show.

Trace went on to do many other pluses in competing in other conformation and obedience and rally venues. Trace will be greatly missed by both myself and my husband, it is so sad when cancer ends a life not ready to go. Till we meet again over the Rainbow bridge. Lots of love an kisses to our little SuperStar!! – Donna Art Blews
