The National American Eskimo Dog Association welcomes you to our website! The NAEDA was formed to encourage and promote the breeding of superior purebred American Eskimos, as recognized by the registering body with which it is associated – the United Kennel Club, Inc. of Kalamazoo, MI.
NAEDA encourages its members and breeders of American Eskimos around the world to accept the breed standard for the American Eskimo as established and maintained by the United Kennel Club, Inc. as the standard by which American Eskimos shall be bred and judged. Additionally, the NAEDA holds United Kennel Club, Inc. licensed conformation shows and, on occasion, performance events. NAEDA provides educational opportunities through its newsletter and seminars at NAEDA sponsored events to provide information to the public and its members on the American Eskimo, promotes the popularity of the American Eskimo around the world, encourages cooperation among individuals, breeders, and other groups with similar purposes to promote good sportsmanship in the training and exhibition of dogs. Types of memberships are explained in the By-Laws section of this website. Events licensed by the United Kennel Club, Inc. and hosted by the National American Eskimo Dog Association will be listed on this website under upcoming events.

The yearly “National” conformation show is usually held the 3 rd weekend of October each year at which the official titles of National Grand Champion and National Best Of Breed are awarded. These shows rotate between the East and West of the United States using the Mississippi River as the division line.
