Clinical Trial in Diabetes
Do you have a cat or dog with diabetes? Consider enrolling in clinical trial today. The Diabetic Program at Penn Vet strives to improve the treatment of diabetes in dogs and cats, and to investigate the genetic risk for diabetes in dogs.
University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School researchers have undertaken the task of compiling information for ALL breeds in an effort to advance their understanding of diabetes in dogs. To that end, they have developed a survey to be completed for ALL the dogs you have bred, whether the dogs developed diabetes or are healthy. Information submitted in this survey is confidential and will be used ONLY for the researchers to contact you and will not be made public. The hope is that researchers will be able to conduct future genetic studies which could facilitate disease prevention.
